Obviously lipsynched… but it’s Oingo Boingo at Disneyland. Which kind of instantly makes it awesome.

Well, this certainly is…something.
I think my favorite part of this is when they start dancing with their bikes. WHAT. haha Although I seriously want to know how people got on that ferris wheel! I mean didn’t they still run the train? Did people cross the tracks, or did they trump through the floral or something?
oh my god poor Steve
HIS BIRTHDAY IS LITERALLY JULY 4, 1918
Captain America has to tell people that he was actually born on the 4th of July with a straight face
OH GOOD IS THIS FROM THE MOVIE. I WAS WONDERING ABOUT THAT. YAY.
Original Disneyland Submarine Voyage.
I truly miss the old subs: the aurora borealis and passing under the north pole to ‘depths seldom seen by man’, the giant squid, the eerie, motionless deep sea fish glowing weirdly, the mermaids and the sea serpent, the overall ‘serious’/mysterious tone the script had and the overall mystique and reverent nature with which it was approached at the outset. This attraction certainly captivated, fascinated and even frightened me as a kid: casts long shadows over my memory of visiting Disneyland or even growing up in general, regardless of some motionless plastic fish on wires.
Sad to say, but I pretty much fucking hate the Nemo version. Cheapens the original by association and the same things that happen in the movie, basically, without any of the heart or emotional depth of the actual film. Forgettable and stupid modern film self-referential drivel where something amazing once was (to me, at any rate).
I’m actually surprised a video like this exists, it’s super cool!!! It also makes me want a time machine. I mean look at those lasers! And the EPCOT Center music! And look at Tomorrowland! Looks so much better than the hodge-podge it is currently.
2012 is a great year for tv animation. I’m so happy that I have a pretty solid schedule of cartoons to watch. Oh man, I would love to have worked on these shows. Some of the most visually stunning I’ve ever seen. <3
Tron Sweepstakes commercial, to quote a youtube commenter ”Nothing says ’futuristic computurised world’ quite like paper towles” :P
Those are awesome prizes though, I would have liked one of those iron on transfers, I think I will make my own now as I have some printable transfer sheets laying around my house somewhere :D
